Misleading Not the Way to Show Respect

To The Editor:

It is saddening to read a letter like the misguided one on March 18 “Care For Our Children.” Thank goodness Governor Abbott has the courage to stand up for children, to protect them from the damaging attempts to obtain an impossible outcome.

One cannot change what one was created. The athlete “Lia Thomas” is proof of that. His physical powers clearly demonstrate that taking medicines, changing his name has not changed him into a woman.

People deserve respect, but misleading them is not the way to show it.
