Local GOP Leader Failing
To the Editor:
For the past two weeks, I’ve seen the FC Republican county chair submitting letters to the FCR complaining about the size of a letter submitted by a resident of Fayette County while politicizing the vaccine and peddling long debunked falsehoods in regard to the vaccine. You would think that as the Delta variant continues to ravage Texans, filling our hospitals, and killing our residents that she would have something more enlightening to discuss in her submissions. In a county that is an estimated 47% vaccinated, maybe she could take the bold stand of pleading with the residents of Fayette County to get the vaccine. Maybe she could be imploring her constituents to mask up to help protect those who are unable to get vaccinated. This variant is proving deadly for both the young and old. There are so many positive, impactful, and life-saving steps Ms. Frank could take... but she prefers to complain about the length of a submitter’s letters and further politicize public health in a feeble attempt to ‘own the libs’. It’s time for leadership and sadly, Ms. Frank is derelict (at worst) or incapable (at best) of fulfilling this duty. It’s about priority, y’all. Until we get ours straight, expect to see the obituary section to get longer.
