Halloween is here but with a few twists from years past. Since we are experiencing a shift in how we celebrate this year, I’m asking questions about those weird spooky nights when we knocked on neighbors’ doors, held out our jack-o-lantern buckets and whispered “Trick or Treat”. Send your answers to me at margoj325@outlook.com and I’ll run them in an upcoming column.

1. When did you begin your treks around the block collecting goodies with a threat?

2. What was your favorite costume? Homemade or store bought?

3. What was your favorite treat?

4. Did your parents have to check to see if razor blades, drugs, or poisons were inserted in each piece?

5. Did you bob for apples?

6. Did you play any tricks? What were they?

7. How old were you when you quit Trick or Treating? Or, are you still doing the begging as an adult?

8. Do you have a favorite Halloween story? What is it?

9. Did you ever go into a haunted house?

10. Did you have monsters under your bed or in your closet?

11. Do you believe in ghosts?

12. Have you had an encounter with a ghost?

13. Did you ever get popcorn balls or candied apples in your bucket of treats?

14. What past Halloween tradition do you wish we would keep?

15. Do you miss Halloween this year?

I hope you enjoy this Halloweens Remembered quiz. Share the answers with your children, your grandchildren, and other readers at margoj325@outlook.com.

Happy Halloween 2020
