Letter on Critical Race Theory Missed the Mark
To The Editor: Triggered (slang term);
Triggered (slang term); an emotionally charged, inappropriate, often illiterate and aggressive response to a misunderstood or feared concept or issue. A feeling of attack or misrepresentation.
Social and emotional learning, culturally and linguistically responsive learning, indoctrination, restorative justice…other words for CRITICAL RACE THEORY. “a rose by any other name would smell sweet.” Critical Race Theory by any other name is still racism.
In a Nov. 12 letter to FCR, It appears Mr. Eric Green was “triggered” with the three simple letters, C, R and T AND the word, “Marxist” originated from P.L. O’Neil’s eloquent, articulate letter on Nov. 5. In a rush of emotion, Green took up the mighty sword of the pen to scribble his extremely incoherent dissatisfaction. Green’s letter was impressively sprinkled with fancy, important words, shaky concepts and often contradictory rhetoric.
Green’s letter completely missed the mark.
FACT: The concept of CRT originated in the liberal-progressive left pushing, “the long march through the institutions,” a philosophy spewed by Italian communist, Antonio Gramsci, with fellow communist Rudi Dutschke, taking up the Marxist ideology reins in the 1960s. The institutions we find today, have been corrupted and infiltrated with this incredibly extremist propaganda. Marxism and CRT go hand in hand and the left happily embrace the extreme agendas.
FACT: It doesn’t take an “ignorance” to see that Marxism ideology has indeed infiltrated into the (liberal, progressive,) democrat-socialist party principles which dehumanizes opposition and perpetuates a chronic victimhood syndrome.
FACT: The left has repeatedly attacked privately owned businesses with ridiculous mask, vaccine or stay-at-home mandates and has an arrogant interpretation of capitalism. (Why work, anymore, when one can get handouts?)
FACT: A strong central government overshadows the efficiency and sovereignty of local governments to properly and effectively govern the very community they live, work and understand.
FACT: Our so-called ruling class is filled with wannabe elites, who constantly make poor, destabilizing decisions for this country and completely bulldoze over the very citizens who voted for them. (Ironically, the deliberate tactics pit Americans against Americans, NOT, “dis-information” from an illperceived opposing view.)
I DID NOT read false facts, divisive attacks, misrepresentation, dehumanizing, dis-information or hatred into O’Neil’s essay.
I DID, however, see those narratives in Green’s rambling essay. Projection? Perhaps.
