Let Kids Be Kids

To the Editor:

The formation of a book committee to “curate school library book purchases” has caused concern for a recent letter writer. I think the author has confused parental concerns to protect their children’s innocence with tolerating the infiltration of inappropriate content for their age/maturity into the school library. Protection requires intolerance of bad/negative influences.

LGBTQ lifestyles are anti-Biblical. To accept the LGBTQ behavior requires denial of Biblical truths. To influence, manipulate or pressure anyone into accepting as normal a lifestyle that is anti-Biblical and destructive to normal relationships is dishonest and deceitful. Let kids be kids. Don’t steal their innocence. Parents need to help their children learn about their bodies and sex at an appropriate age.
