A Legacy and Valiant Battle

A very beloved Fayetteville local, Henry Hubbard, passed away after a valiant battle with coronavirus. Henry leaves a very distinct legacy of kindness, goodness, and generosity. He was a man who humbly and directly lived his values fully, without pushing his worldview and without putting up political signs on his property. He never succumbed in any way to the divisiveness or lack of civility often encountered in today’s society.

Henry Hubbard was a deeply devoted man – to country, as a career veteran willing to make the ultimate sacrifice; to church – as a very religious man active as a deacon in his congregation; to his family – as a husband and father and to his community – as a very hard-working and deeply warm person.

You might be out picking up branches in your yard, and Henry would drive up in his truck to share great conversation and a gift of some overflow from his garden. We ate cauliflower for two weeks on that generosity. There are numerous stories like this.

Henry Hubbard will be very, very missed and though Fayetteville will be missing a bright light – his legacy of humble kindness, goodness and generosity will live on.
