Kudos to St. Mark’s

I recently had the unexpected need to visit the Emergency Room at St. Mark’s, and subsequently was admitted to the hospital. My husband and I moved to La Grange last year; this was the first time in my life I’d been to an ER, and my first time to be hospitalized with the exception of having our three children, and that was at least 40 years ago.

I could never express enough appreciation to everyone at St. Mark’s for the care I received, both at the ER and for the next four days. EVERYONE was so caring, so courteous, so professional, so compassionate, so efficient; they made my stay as pleasant and comfortable as being in a hospital could be.

I wish I could remember all your names; I’m sure I’m forgetting someone, but thanks to Dr. Willis and Dr. Allyson Borgstedte and nurse Samantha at the ER, and to the nurses in my wing; Melissa, Stephanie, and Fae; and even Zachary and the two ladies who were way too happy at 4 a.m. when they woke me up to take blood and vitals, and Dr. White for his visit, and last but not least, to Dr. Blackwell, whom I’d never met before he came for morning rounds and treated me as if I’d been his patient for years.

Again, my sincere thanks for the care I received; La Grange and the surrounding areas are so fortunate to have such a topnotch medical facility right here at home, staffed by the most caring employees anyone could find.
