Kudos to Presidents Trump and Biden

To the Editor:

I hope Mr Mikus is feeling better for all the venting he did in last week’s Letters to Editor. Besides incorrect information he submitted, I was appalled and even angered at his accusations of President Trump and Republicans being responsible for 40% of pandemic deaths. Seriously? If Mr Mikus wants to point fingers, how about all the children and people who are dying in the desert, drowning, or being sexually assaulted while trying to cross borders into the US?

President Biden and his party are responsible for that. President Biden has opened wide our borders and now we have thousands, soon to be millions, who need help, and costs that we will have to incur for years to come to take care of them.

And how about all the lives lost in NY under Democrat Gov. Cuomo when he put the elderly back in the nursing homes? Or what of the thousands of children who die yearly from abortions, which Biden and the Democratic party support. Do you really want to keep throwing stones and playing the blame game Mr. Mikus?

President Biden promised to unite us. We’re still waiting. Rather than try to work with Republicans, he just uses the stroke of his pen to change things. That divides us , just as words do when accusing another president for the deaths of thousands of Americans.

President Trump pushed the drug companies and the vaccines were ready in record time. President Biden has done well with having the vaccine dispersed. I will give kudos to both presidents. Let’s give credit where it’s due. But vitriol by either party just continues to divide.
