Kudos to Fayetteville
To The Editor:
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the Community of Fayetteville for the outpouring of love and support shown to my husband, Kevin Dunne, and our entire family during his battle with glioblastoma, a form of terminal brain cancer.
From the moment we received his diagnosis we were showered with love, kindness, and support. The encouraging prayers, cards, and messages carried us through some of our most difficult times. The dear friends we have made truly are the best people we have ever known.
The sense of unity and the generosity we experienced from this community humbled us and reminded us what it truly means to be a part of a community.
From Meat Loaf Monday, given by Chef George and Kathy Valtasaros, to the charitable gifts we received enabled us to give Kevin the best treatments possible.
This special community is only getting better as we witness the growth and improvements happening in Fayetteville each day due to the individuals who dedicate their time, talents and energy to make a difference.
Though words can never express my deepest appreciation, please know these acts of kindness made a lasting impression on Kevin, me, and our family.
For that, I am forever grateful.
