KJZT St. Anne’s Society Holds November Meeting
The meeting of the KJZT St. Anne’s Society No. 10 was called to order at 1 p.m. on Nov. 15 at St John’s Recreation Hall.
President Mary Jane Toddy opened the meeting with prayers for all living members and their families and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. There were seven members present.
Helen Wied reported on cards received and sent out. Rose Rohde read the minutes from the previous meeting and Lois Kaspar gave the Treasures report. New Business included the election of officers. It was moved and seconded to keep the same officers in place, motion passed.
St. Anne’s will donate $100 to Sacred Heart Catholic School in La Grange in January for supplies. The KJZT State office will send $50 to 4 selected schools on behalf of St. Anne’s society for supplies. Selected schools are Sacred Heart in La Grange, St. Anthony in Columbus, St. Rose in Schulenburg, and Sacred Heart in Hallettsville.
The 2023 People Helping People fundraiser will be held in May, 2023 and benefit St. John’s Catholic Church Altar Society. The 2023 Community Project is the AMEN food pantry.
Veronica Ryza won the attendance prize. After the closing prayer, the meeting was adjourned. Lunch and fellowship followed the meeting.
The next meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023.
