Judge Needs to Act
To the Editor:
In the Tuesday January 12, 2021 Record, on the subject of the COVID-19 vaccine, our County Judge asks “Where is the stuff? We are waiting” and then suggests that the “party animals” be given priority access to the vaccine. Does he realize that there is little or no proof that taking the vaccine will prevent one from being contagious to others?
Those “party animals” and anyone else refusing to wear a mask (and that includes far too many of our law enforcement personnel in Fayette County), if wanting the protection of the vaccine, need to swear on a stack of Bibles that they will always wear a mask thereafter to protect others and those Bibles all need to be open on the page where Our Lord proclaims the “Golden Rule.”
More than 6,000 senior citizens in Fayette County are waiting for at least 6,000 doses of that “stuff ” now and another round of at least 6,000 doses later and on time. Perhaps in the next edition of the Record, our County Judge will publicly report on what he is doing to expedite the delivery of the vaccine to those senior citizens as well as to those “party animals.”
