Help the Helpless

To the Editor:

I have lived in Fayette County for seven years and have never heard of Whispering Hills (its problems were detailed in a newspaper story last week).

I cannot believe that we have a facility in this county where children are neglected and abused. We have the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). We need an SPCC (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.) Can we continue to ignore this facility that neglected and abused children that cannot defend themselves?
