Gratitude and Peace
To the Editor:
As I sit here reflecting on my 41 amazing years of service at Sacred Heart School, I am filled with gratitude and peace.
I have built 4 decades of indescribable memories with incredible students, families, fellow teachers, administrators, priests and support staff that keep this school running oh so well. I don’t consider my time at Sacred Heart a job. It was my second home and never felt like work. I found pure joy and fulfillment in the work I did, which was validated by the smiles I received every day.
Every student that I worked with made an impression on me and I learned something new on how to be a better person, listener and teacher.
Throughout my 41 years, I have seen teachers, administrators and staff come and go, priests come and go and students and families come and go. I have seen the good, the bad and sadly, even the ugly. Despite all the ups and downs, I would not trade my time at Sacred Heart for anything else.
I want to thank all the students and families for your support over the years. I remember each and every one of you. I remember your smiles, our silly dances and my very special birthday song. Thank you to all the teachers, support teams and administrators for your ongoing support and friendship. It means more than you know.
While I won’t be at school starting in the fall, I know I will see everyone around town and I hope you stop to say hi. I know God has a plan for me and I’m excited to see what’s next ... Romans 12:2.
