Governor Needs to Support Texas Teachers

To The Editor: As a retired Texas public school teacher, I want a governor who:

• supports teachers being able to accurately teach science and history.

• supports teachers having access to a school library with diverse reading materials.

• supports teachers being equipped with up-to-date text books/resources and adequate school supplies, not loaded weapons.

• supports teachers in educating students of all abilities and from all kinds of families.

• supports teachers who retire with a living-wage retirement.

As a woman who values all children, I want a governor who will ensure that Texas girls/ women have equal bodily autonomy.
