Forget Trump

To The Editor: It puzzles me why all the hatred for our former president. It’s our current president and his administrations that should be the focus or our attention and prayers. Seeing the present state of our economy, the price of gas, groceries, building materials, etc, we don’t need to be wasting our energies destroying a former White House resident. Oh but, he was so horrible. Well, let’s look at some of the things he did that were so terrible: 1. Illegal immigrants were being kept out 2. America was energy independent 3. Sanctity of life was sacred once again 4. Lowest unemployment of Blacks, Hispanics, Asians and Americans 5. Brought the majority of our troops home from Iraq and Afganistan 6. Renegotiated a fair NAFTA Agreement 7. A prompt response to Corona Virus treatment and vaccine 8. Support of Israel leading to peace agreements with numerous neighboring countries 9. Canceled a flawed and unfair Iran Agreement with sanctions imposed 10. US Embassy moved to Jerusalem with other countries following suit 11. Renegotiated a fair China Agreement 12. Campaign promises kept (to the extent allowed by Dems and RINOs) I could go on but 12 is a good number…after all, it’s a Biblical number representing “government.” Whether our current president is legitimate or not is not the issue. What should concern “we the people” is who and how are we going to elect the next leadership in November and in the following 2024 election.

The 45th President was not my first choice among the 17 candidates vying for office in 2016. In fact he may have ranked number 16 or 17 for reasons not relevant to this discussion. However, looking ahead to 2024, my vote will be directed to the candidate that actually will do what he/she promises…...a candidate that is serious about making America great economically, financially, politically and most of all spiritually. A president who believes in our coin inscription, In God We Trust.

Party affiliation will make no difference, as long as they can distance themselves from the established swamp creatures inhabiting Washington. It’s time for we the people, who are called by His Name to stand up and make our voice and wishes heard. We need to demand accountability in the election process. We need to demand they make America Great once again.

God has not forsaken us. He blessed America and He doesn’t change His Mind. Judgment may come upon this land for past sinful issues, but He doesn’t destroy those belonging to Him….. those called by His Name. May God Bless America once again.
