Fayetteville Truck Issue

To the Editor:

My name is Heather Schultz and my husband, Stephen and I own the home across the street from the Fayetteville Store (311 East Main Street.) I am writing about the work being done only a few blocks away from our home on the sidewalk project that appears to be a conflict of interest regarding the huge amount of traffic of 18 wheelers going through our town.

This issue is something that has concerned us since we purchased the home in mid-September. We are particularly pleased that there is a great deal of work and energy going into rectifying the issue of these huge trucks using the quaint and beautiful historic town as a bypass for highway access, or whatever it is that they are doing...Roger Parker and the others who have been working tirelessly on the issue are so appreciated.

We sincerely hope that Fayetteville can maintain its small town character and beauty. This has been quite an eye opener for us as new homeowners in town.
