Fayetteville Brethren Church to Host Parking Lot Worship Sunday
The Fayetteville Brethren Church at 1022 Kramr Rd. will have parking lot worship services on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m. Holy Communion will be observed and services will be led by Rev. Mike Groseclose. Everyone is to stay in their cars. There will be no in-person services until further notice.
Unity of the Brethren has several Sunday worship services that are available online. Brethren churches offering live worship at 10:15 a.m. each Sunday are Taylor - Rev. Jimmy Hejl; Nelsonville - Rev. Groseclose; Ocker - Rev. Dr. Brad Herridge; West - Rev. Gerry Davis; and Wall at 10:45 a.m. with the Revs. Tommy Talles and Ryan Volkman.

125th Anniversary
The St. John Lutheran Church in Rutersville will be celebrating 125 years in ministry with a parking lot worship on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 10 a.m. This will be a joint service for the Shared Lutheran Ministry congregations. Parking will be at the church parking lot with overflow into the Rutersville Hermann Sons Lodge parking lot. You may bring a lawn chair and distance if that suits you better. Bishop Mike Rinehart will preach and offer a blessing.
All worshippers are asked to bring donations for AMEN, either monetary or food. The goal is to raise $125 and 125 lbs. of food. Items of food for donation include Progresso healthy canned soup, peanut butter, hamburger helper, oatmeal, evaporated milk, bagged beans, jelly, boxed cereal and wheat pasta.
Harvest Carnival Drive-Thru
The Fayetteville Parent Teachers Club will have a drivethru only beef stew and chili for the annual Harvest Carnival on Friday, Oct. 30, at the St. John Recreation Hall. The stew and chili will be served from 4:30 to 7 p.m. and will be sold in quart containers for $10 each. No presale tickets will be available.
A raffle will also take place, and tickets may be bought from any FISD student for $10 each.
All proceeds benefit all the school students and teachers, along with scholarships for qualifying seniors.
Bicycle Ride
The Fayetteville Good Old Summertime Classic Bicycle Ride will be held on Sunday, Nov. 15. Two red Tommasini bicycles are to be raffled. Tickets are five for $20. Proceeds from the ride and raffle will be donated to the Fayetteville school.
CYM Chicken Stew
The Catholic Youth Ministry will be having their annual chicken stew after the 4 p.m. cemetery services at the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery on Sunday, Nov. 1. This will be a drive-thru event at the St. John Recreation Hall.
