Faith the Answer

To The Editor:

We read about the recent Uvalde Shooting and we are given various solutions.

1. All guns should be banned

2. All ARs should be banned

3. More severe background checks

4. More school security

5. Solve mental health issues

So what happened? Why do school shootings continue? There is a simple truth overlooked by most in a position to provide the solution. When you take God and the Bible out of the schoolhouse and prohibit prayer in the classroom, at sporting events, and other school functions, you simply open the door for evil to fill the void.

America does not have a gun problem. We the people have elected leaders who are making decisions to undo what the founding fathers formulated in the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. America was founded as a godly nation based on Judeo-Christian morals and standards.

However, the majority of people claiming to be of the Christian Faith don’t vote based on Biblical principles.... and over 30% didn’t vote at all in 2020. Until, we the people who are called by His Name take a stand and make our voices heard, nothing will change and evil will continue not only in our schools, but in our governing bodies and in the business marketplace.

II Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their worldly ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.”

Even so, may righteousness prevail in the coming November election.
