Embrace Our History

To the Editor:

Fellow citizens of La Grange: Since I am the drainage czar, people have really approached and complimented me on my work. Jack Thompson says he is actually doing something with this problem. However, he says it will take years and years to be completed. I feel that he is spending too much of his time and our money on other things. JT just doesn’t take me seriously, while he is out buying land and many buildings to start other projects.

We need to attract visitors who want to come experience La Grange and all it stands for. We have a movie and a ZZ Top song about La Grange, so why not capitalize on that? You can’t erase history. JT is spending money trying to remake La Grange into what HE thinks it should be. Next week I will present my brilliant ideas regarding La Grange.
