Correcting Misinformation
To the Editor:
I’d like to correct one massive bit of misinformation in Deborah Frank’s letter from last week: Democrats support that all registered voters should have the opportunity to exercise their Constitutional right to vote by mail. There never has been nor ever will be Democratic support to do some bogus mass-mailing to all addresses in Texas. This is the epitome of fake news.
If you are a registered voter, then we do support that you have a right to exercise the same access as an able-bodied voter 65 and older has. It’s Republican leader ship that has exacerbated this the worst pandemic to hit our country in over a hundred years and it’s Republicans who want to risk the lives of Americans to exercise their Constitutional right to vote.
It seems that Ms. Frank did not actually read my letter and again peddles the unproven fake notion that voter fraud is rampant in the US. Even the Heritage Foundation data does not support this.
I stand by my assertion that when legal, registered voters are not disenfranchised, Republicans suffer.
