Concerns About Hit-And-Run Suspect

Regarding your front page story concerning the hit-andrun subject:

I can only imagine how the Lehmann family must feel, definitely no sense of justice for sure. Here this dude was in the country illegally, he is driving drunk and kills an innocent citizen. The United States should do all they can to find this criminal, extradite him and lock him up for the rest of his life. It happens over and over.

My question is why was he hired by Altmann Plant Company of Giddings in the first place? Did he have a social security number? Was he paying income tax? This country is a giant mess.
