Common Sense and AI
To the editor:
We, my wife and I, we are old-timers here in Fayette County.
Every once in a while, an opinion comes along that hits a nerve so we finally go to the computer to type out what we decided was so important that we’d share our humble opinion(s).
First, we really respect the smart people who live here. Some considered old-timers, and by that, I mean real oldtimers. The five generation old-timers and then, darn, those who found us. Let’s be very succinct, we know we can’t stop change and that good ole progress, but when bad new ideas come along, we have to speak up. And, for those who do not know what the word progress means, please, look it up.
Like everything in life and we do mean everything - there is good and bad. Pro’s and con’s, two sides to the story, do you get the picture?
We know how some people are just so darn smart they just leave us in the dust and we scratch our heads and ask, How the heck did we let that happen? Well, my wife and I, we are good ole common sense people. And, well, we want our readers to be enlightened to this fact of life, just to make sure this fact is never forgotten “common sense ain’t so common.”
Now, some ain’t gonna know what this means. Well, let this sink in, “If it sounds too good to be true, it is.”
Please, do the research when it comes to AI (artificial intelligence) and what is not being said, and in our humble opinion, being deceitful to readers. The dirty word is termed “data centers.” Do not be deceived. We trust that Fayette County knows better when it comes to a data center being planned in our county. Don’t let it sneak in like our neighboring county did. Again, in our opinion, sure seems like some dirty, sneaky business was being performed behind closed doors and hoodwinked the whole county that neighbors us. All we can do now is watch and learn.
Lastly, and hope this gives a laugh. What is so hard about unplugging the darn plug? God Bless Fayette County. Thank you for hearing us.
