Commissioners’ Court Highlights

The following are a few more items from the Fayette County Commissioners Court meeting held last Monday, Nov. 24.

Commissioners signed an order changing the name of a road in the subdivision formerly known as Round Top Springs Phase 2. The developer has changed the name of that subdivision to Round Top Farms. When the subdivision was initially built, it included a road named Round Top Springs Road. The developer asked the County to change the name of that road to Round Top Farms Drive. The Commissioners approved the request and signed the order officially changing the name of the road.

The Court received another request for a speed limit change for a county road, this time for South Bauer Rd. in Pct. 2.

“I’ve gotten some local landowners that have requested this,” said Pct. 2 Commissioner Clint Sternadel.

A public hearing on the speed limit change will take place at the Commissioners Court Dec. 22 meeting.
