Coincidence?

To the Editor:

I went on the World Wide Web this week and noticed that states who have the lowest vaccination rates for COVID-19 are also the states that have the highest number of new cases of COVID-19 infections. Just a coincidence?

I also noted that our Fayette County vaccination rate is quite low and that we have a high number of new cases. I wonder why that is? Perhaps Craig Moreau or Judge Weber would care to comment.

I’ve read in this very newspaper in a letter that most children who become infected with COVID-19 have only a mild illness so there’s no need for vaccination against the virus. How many parents and grandparents would be willing to risk their precious child’s life in the name of liberty?

226 years ago, the great patriot Patrick Henry declaimed “Give me liberty, or give me death.” Nowadays, this seems to have taken on a whole new meaning, hasn’t it?
