The Blame Game

  • The Blame Game
    The Blame Game

If we don’t get what we want, or something does not turn out the way we want it to we look for someone or something to blame.

The definition of blame is: assign responsibility for a fault or wrong. The courts system today is filled with cases of blame. As a kid when something got broken at home, it’s the dogs or a six-month-old siblings fault While growing up we blame the umpires, the teacher, the coach, and on and on. We can always fmd something or someone to blame. When we look back at our lives, we find that we made both good and bad decisions. The good decisions we take credit for, the bad ones we look for something to blame. We blame our parents, city government, national government, big business, the weather, Russia and China, sauerkraut (I included sauerkraut because I don’t like sauerkraut), and of course society. Do we think that we are so perfect that if something goes wrong it just has to be someone else’s wrong doing? We all make mistakes, we make the mistake worse when we try to find blame. Take responsibility for your mistakes or accidents and see what you can do to correct them. Blame is so easy while taking responsibility is hard.

Flip Wilson (a comedian) signature line was “the devil made me do it.” Let us look at ourselves and see that maybe just maybe we are the devil of our own fault
