Biden Not Unifying
To the Editor:
This past Sunday I saw an interview on Fox news with Salvatore Joseph Cordileone, a San Fransisco Archbishop.
I want to share some of his words, in case you watch those news networks that would never report this. He was replying to Nancy Pelosi’s recent statements regarding abortion issues and pro-lifers, and that these pro-lifers were good people, just willing to sell the whole democracy down the river for one issue. To which he also said Pelosi should apologize to these pro-life, mostly Trump voters.
The Archbishop also stated that Pelosi and the new president mislead by giving the impression to Catholics that it is acceptable to be a Catholic and favor abortions, because Catholics do not favor abortion. He also stated that the new president does not speak for the Catholic Church and this is not language of unity and healing as promised by President Biden.
I believe that along with all this, President Biden has come out swinging within the first three days of taking office. Thousands will lose their jobs due to the shutdown of the pipeline, thousands will look for free handouts by taxpayers since border wall construction and deportation has been informed to stop. All while the pandemic proceeds to hang around, with many already having lost their jobs or businesses. And now others will come in to take jobs that should be for Americans first.
Who knows what will happen with the COVID situation if all these people are allowed into our country. I believe we all have care in our hearts for all people, but the USA cannot take care of everyone from other countries.
And with these matters, freedom of conservative speech has been censored, even that of a past sitting POTUS. The liberal left, supported by President Biden, are calling for some Trump voters to be censored in writing books, to lose their jobs, and be banned from air travel, for either voting for Trump or questioning the past election. And sadly, transgender women can now compete against girls and go into girl’s locker rooms. Are you concerned yet?
All this in less than one week of the new presidency. What next? President Biden, this is some unity you are bringing to our country.
