Antiques Show It’s antique show time. The Fall Show has kicked-off and Round Top is bustling with visitors. Several vendors will be hosting special events throughout the show. 10th Annual OktoBierFest The 10th Annual OktoBierFest at the Round Top Rifle Hall will be Saturday, Oct. 22 beginning at noon. Hosted by the Round Top Schützen Verein, this event kicks-off with official Keg Tapping taking place at noon. Join for an afternoon full of quality German biers, delicious Kassler, Wurst & Kraut, and a free concert under the pavillion.

Heart to Market Pop-up A Heart to Market Pop-up will be at Drift & Holler Oct. 19-22 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. each day. Come see the wide variety of small shops and artisans. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Heart to Market will donate $10 of every purchase to Susan G. Komen.

Extended Hours Oct. 21-22 come to The Arbors from 6-9 p.m. for extended shopping hours, a bonfire, live music and a Halloween costume contest.

Dinner at The Halles Royers Round Top Café and Prisoner Wine Company are hosting a dinner at The Halles Saturday, Oct. 22 from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are available at Eventbrite.com.

Market at Texas Casual Cottages Texas Casual Cottages on Highway 237 will be hosting a Market Oct. 22-30.

Benefit forAutism RescueAngels Saturday, Oct. 22 the Tré Gallery will host a launch party with Autism Rescue Angels. The “Giving Back” event will be from 6-8 p.m at 105 W. Austin St, Suite B in Round Top. Enjoy champagne and light bites. 100% of profits from ceramic artist pieces created for the organization will be donated.

A Faire Extraordinaire Oct. 23 from 6-9 p.m. “A Faire Extraordinaire” is hosting a seated three-course meal at The Halles. Guests will receive one of AFE’s famous signature cocktails and delicious hors d’oeuvres, followed by a short rib dinner. Tickets are $165 and may be purchased at roundtop. com.

Big Red Barn Antique Show The Big Red Barn Antique Show opens Oct. 24 A VIP opening is from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and general admission entry begins at 1 p.m. They are open daily through Saturday, Oct. 29 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Marburger FarmAntique Show Marburger Farm Antique Show will be Oct. 25 – 29. General admission tickets are $15. Early admission tickets are $40. Gates open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25 with tents opening at 9 a.m. General admission tickets will be accepted starting at 2 p.m. on opening day and last for the remainder of the week.

Local Events The last Wednesday of each month, Blue Mule Winery hosts Red’s Terrific Trivia from 6:308:30 p.m. Come out to win prizes, trophies and make new friends. Teams welcome. Tyler Tillman will perform at Busted Oak Cellars Friday, Oct. 14 from 6-9 p.m. Josh Tiemann will perform Saturday from 6-10 p.m. Bingo night is Thursday, Oct. 20 from 6-8 p.m. Dylan Jakobs will perform Friday, Oct. 21 from 6-9 p.m.

The Stone Cellar is currently closed for renovations, but the new owners expect to reopen before the Fall Antique Show. A soft opening is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 19. Texas Casual Cottages annual Classic Car Show will be Saturday, Oct. 29 from 11 a.m.3 p.m. Register your classic car for a $20 fee by calling (979) 337-8239. The Round Top Rifle Hall Monday Night Hamburger Social is the first through third Monday of each month. The Hall opens at 5:30 p.m., and the order window is open from 6-8 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA. Festival Hill Events The Texas Gentlemen with Frankie Leonie are performing in the Concert Hall benefiting The James Dick Foundation For The Performing Arts Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m. There will be a Party on the Plaza following the concert until 11 p.m. Light bites and two drinks come with each ticket. Tickets for Festival Hill’s annual Nutcracker Ballet are for sale on the website. This year’s performance will be held Saturday, Dec. 10 from 4-6 p.m. This year’s production celebrates the 14th annual performance danced by Ovation Ballet Company. Round Top Family Library Round Top Family Library is open Monday – Friday from 1:30-5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Adult Yoga meets Mondays at 5 p.m. After School Kids Junior Master Gardner (JMG) meets Wednesdays, from 3:30-5:15 p.m. for fourth through sixth grades. Chess Club for ages 7 and up meets on Wednesdays from 4-5:15 p.m. Registration for this class is required. A Situational Awarentess class will be held Sunday, Oct. 30 from 2-3 p.m. Reduce your risk of becoming a victim! This class is free and for men and women ages 15 and up. Please bring your picnic blanket or lawn chair. Operation Christmas Child boxes are available at the RTFL and available for pick-up during open hours. Please bring back filled boxes by Nov. 21.

Winedale On Tuesday, Oct. 18 at noon, Dr. Ken Hafertepe will discuss the painted churches of Texas. This beautifully illustrated talk will throw new light on the famous “painted churches of Texas” most of which were built between 1890 and 1920. Round Top-Carmine ISD A public hearing on Financial Accountability will be Monday, Oct. 17 from 6-6:30 p.m. at the RTC Elementary school. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss RTC’s “Superior Achievement” rating on the state’s financial accountability system. Students have a holiday Oct.

24. Saturday, Oct. 29 there will be a Fall Festival at the Elementary School from 5-8 p.m. Enjoy a kids costume parade, high school entertainment, kids carnival, raffle and silent auction. Fajita plates are $15, hot dogs are $3 and desserts are for a free-will donation. All proceeds benefit students and staff. This event is sponsored by the RTC Parent’s Club. Ruth Circle Bible Study

Notes courtesy of Jeanette Schoenst: BLC Ruth Circle met Thursday, Oct. 6 at 9:30 a.m. Pastor John David Nedbalek began a new series, Jesus and Nature, with a video by Sara Olson-Smith. The study focuses on how attention is turned from the world God as made using John 15:1-11. Joys Baird continued the lesson with a discussion on the 36 types of trees mentioned in the Bible. Faith and ability to bear fruit depends on the ways you abide in Jesus and in one another. Jesus shows how much God wants everyone to reach their full potential. The next study will be Nov. 3. This month’s hostess was Mary Reeves. St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby holds Worship service at 8 a.m., followed by fellowship, coffee, and Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. Game Day is held the first and third Wednesday of each month from 2-4 p.m. Bring a snack, board game, dominoes, etc. Quilting meets the third Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m. Noisy Offering is the third Sunday of each month. St. Cecilia’s Round Top Episcopal Church holds services with Father Bill Miller Sundays at 10:45 a.m. in the historic Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square.
