Animal Shelter Update

The Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday for all normal operations. The shelter is closed to the public Monday with staff onsite for animal care from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. The shelter allows reclaims on Monday after 10 a.m. If you believe your lost pet may be in care, call (979) 966-0021 to confirm and learn requirements to reclaim.

As of Sept. 19, the total intake is 1345: 550 dogs and 795 cats in need. There are 127 animals in care: 54 dogs and 73 cats.

The shelter is in desperate for more dog walkers, kitten cuddlers, laundry washers, and puppy bathers.
