“And the Truth Shall Make You Free”

To the Editor:

This quote is from the Bible and comes from John 8:13, however, it has often been used through the years in historical ways to prove a point.

Truth in history has always been important to teachers. This is a moment in our history when truth must prevail. America has many great moments to celebrate and some questionable ones to learn from. Education is about learning. We as parents strive to teach our children that a mistake or a failure does not define one for life. We teach them to learn from their set-backs, as in history we learn to discuss better ways to proceed.

Truth is what education is about.
