About Perry’s Text

To The Editor:

Thank you for running the CNN reporting of the text sent to Mark Meadows by Rick Perry’s phone. What I am really interested in however, are thoughts about this issue from local leaders. Please allow me to be direct. County Judge Joe Weber, commissioners, and county judge candidates: what are your thoughts on an aggressive strategy in a presidential election for a state legislature(s), whose power rests on gerrymandered districts, to subvert the will of their citizens and send a slate of electors of their choosing to D.C. How would this impact a democracy that is fundamentally based on free and fair elections? Please note that silence, sitting on your hands, and/or looking the other way would make you complicit with the sedition of Rick Perry. Please be prompt with your answers and I look forward to hearing from you.
