Krupala Headed to State in Powerlifting

La Grange High School’s Erick Guevara and Cody Krupala competed in the THSPA Region 4 Division 2 powerlifting meet March 7th in Colmesneil High School. Erick Guevara competed in 220 lb weight class where he finished 10th and Cody Krupala competed in the 123 lb weight class and medaled by finishing 5th.

The Fayetteville boys basketball team was set to play Jayton Thursday in the state 1A semifinals. If they win that game they would return to the Alamodome for Saturday’s state title game at 8:30 a.m. Either way we’ll have coverage of the state tourney in Tuesday’s Record. Lady Bulldogs Win 15-0

The Flatonia softball team bashed Bloomington 15-0 Tuesday night. Jalee Trussell pitched a complete game two-hitter with seven strikeouts and she also had four hits herself. Katie Templeton drove in four runs and has two hits. Sadie Noska, Emma Klozik, Dallynn Bishop and Kara Croyle also had multi-hit games for the Flatonia girls.

Shorthorn Golfers Third in Flatonia

The Schulenburg golf team finished in 3rd place at the Flatonia Golf Tournament on Tuesday. Pictured (from left) Jackson Faith, Van Prihoda, Jayse Janda, Reid Janda, Brycen Schramek, and Brant Redman. Reid finished 1st after winning a 2-hole playoff. Brycen finished 4th after a playoff.

La Grange Soccer Loses

The La Grange boys and girls soccer teams lost on the road in Rockdale Tuesday. The Leps boys lost 1-0 to fall to 4-7 in district play.

Horns Blast Weimar

The Schulenburg baseball team defeated Weimar 13-1 Tuesday. Aaron Janecek, Reid Janda, Connor Fogle and Brycen Schramek all had multi-hit games for the Shorthorns.
