Jump Rope Winners Crowned at La Grange Elementary
Fayette County Helpers (FCH) held their 10th annual jump rope Jumpathon for 2nd graders this week.
The group went to La Grange Elementary School on Tuesday, March 5. About 146 La Grange 2nd grade students participated in the jump rope contest. Organizers Jeff Kelly and Karen Forest spoke to the kids about living a healthy lifestyle and how jumping rope can play a big part in life-long health. All of the kids went home with a free t-shirt and jump rope.
Winners of the contest at La Grange Elementery were as follows: Boys’ Division - 1st Place Brantley Koehl, 2nd Place Giovani Orona and 3rd Place Krugher Smidovec; Girls’ Division - 1st Place Everly Herbrich, 2nd Place Jalen Salas and 3rd Place Vivian Roesler. FCH also held Jumpathon contests at Flatonia Elementary and Sacred Heart School in La Grange. Look for the winners of those contests in Tuesday’s paper.
