Lady Leps Win Softball Playoff Opener 23-0

The La Grange softball team blasted Houston Wheatley 23-0 Thursday at Rice Consolidated to win their 4A playoff opener. Thursday’s victory vaults the Lady Leps into the second round where they will face Salado in a best-of-three series in Thrall.

One Last Meet as a Lep

One of the most elite sprinters in La Grange High School’s history has one more track meet as a Leopard. Austen Diggs is the defending state 4A champ in the 200 meters, the school record holder in the 200 and the 400 meters and has accepted a track scholarship to Baylor.

Lions Roll On

The Fayetteville baseball team defeated Richards 12-0 Friday. Jake Kubala threw three hitless innings and Keagan Supak pitched one inning, striking out two. Jack Schley tripled and drove in two. Supak and Easton Jaeger each had two hits. Jaeger, Kole Schmitt and Chance Konvicka all drove in two runs. The Lions are now 10-4 overall.
