Faith Lutheran to Host Golf “Fore” Education Tournament on May 29

Faith Lutheran High School will host the Golf “Fore” Education Tournament on Friday, May 29. There will be an 8 a.m./1 p.m. shotgun start. This annual tournament benefiting Faith is perfect for every level of player. 4-man teams are $100/person, including golf cart and lunch. Many prizes will be awarded. They are also seeking gold, silver, and platinum sponsors by May 14. Contact the school for sponsorship and player registration.

Community Asked to Help Preserve Carmine History at Cleaning Event

It’s Spring. That means it is time to do a little sprucing up at the Carmine Museum and Visitor Center. Did you know that Carmine had an orchestra? Did you know that Carmine had several citizens serve in WWII? Do you want to see your teacher in the RT-C yearbooks? Come out and see the lovingly curated artifacts displayed at the museum and lend a hand with some dusting and cleaning. Light refreshments will be provided.

Schulenburg Sausagefest Salutes The Historic ‘Beef Meat Clubs’ and Traditional Sausage Making During This Saturday’s Event

To celebrate the local heritage of sausage-making, the 11thAnnual Schulenburg Sausagefest invites anyone with family stories related to this tradition to share them along with pictures and artifacts. This year’s event will be held this Saturday, April 11 downtown on North Main Street between Lyons Avenue and Wolters Avenue, including the Railroad Park.
