Carmine Chamber to Host Ribbon Cutting April 11
The Carmine Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for a new business on Saturday, April 11 from 10:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. at Henry House Bed & Breakfast located at 314 Hauptstrasse in Carmine. Enjoy a light brunch with Skye Bird coffee and tea.
Round Top-Carmine ISD The calendar for Round Top-Carmine ISD has been revised. The final day of classes will be on Thursday, May 15. Due to a surplus of instructional minutes, the district has approved moving the final day of classes forward. It will be an early release day with buses running at 12:30 p.m.
Some end-of-year events have been rescheduled to fit this new timeline.
The baseball team hosts BVCHEA on April 7 at 5:30 p.m. This evening is in support of the Turtle Wing foundation. On April 10, the team travels to Little River Academy High School to play Blum at 6:30 p.m. RT-C hosts Snook at 5 p.m. for a double-header on April 15. RT-C hosts Burton on April 21 at 5:30 p.m. It will be Senior Appreciation Day.
The district track meet will be at Fayetteville on April 9.
Classes will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. on April 10.
April 24 is a student holiday and professional development day for staff.
In District Golf, the boy’s team qualified for the Regional Tournament on April 13.
The girls’ team placed first and second. Avery Nelius received a medal for first place and Angie Le Boueff received a medal for second place.
Bingo in Ledbetter
The Bingo party at the Ledbetter Community Center will be held on Sunday, April 12 from 2-4 p.m. Doors open at 1:15 p.m. A card for $5 covers all games with prizes awarded for each game. Snacks and drinks will be available for a donation. This is a non-profit community event for entertainment. Money collected will be used for purchase of prizes and other expenses.
Bingo at Carmine Hall
The next Bingo at the Carmine Hall will be on Friday, May 1. Doors open at 4 p.m. and games begin at 6 p.m. Food and drinks are available for sale.
It is located at 300 N Hauptstrasse in Carmine. Twelve regular games and two cover-all games are played. It benefits the Carmine Cedar Creek Schuetzen Verein for renovations to the historic building.
Central Texas Food Bank
The Central Texas Food Bank truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church parking lot on Saturday, April 18 from 10-11 a.m. It is located near the intersection of FM 1291 and FM 2145 near Ledbetter. The food distribution will be drive-through.

Senior Citizens meet on Wednesday at 8:30 in the Mission & Ministry Building. Meals must be picked up by 11:30 a.m.
Rebekah Group meets Thursday at 2 p.m.
AA meeting is Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
Worship with Holy Communion, observing the Second Sunday of Easter is April 12 with the Rev. Ken Weiss serving as the guest pastor. The Noisy Offering will be received.
Quilting for Lutheran World Relief is Monday beginning at 1 p.m.
Domino party is Monday at 1 p.m.
Senior Citizens
Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels with Combined Community Action is on Wednesdays at the Martin Luther Lutheran Church Mission and Ministry Building located at 250 Augsburg Ave. in Carmine. Play dominoes and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
Hours are 9-11:30 a.m.
Five meals come in a box along with milk, dessert, and bread for a donation of $10. This makes it $2 per meal. It is for seniors age 60 and up. Food usually arrives about 10 a.m. and must be picked up by 11:30 a.m. To sign up, come by on any Wednesday morning to fill out the paperwork or contact Marilyn Wagner at (979) 277-4134.
