Warda Youth Place at Lee County Junior Livestock Show

Congratulations to the Warda Youth who placed at the 2026 Lee County Jr. Livestock Show: Rylee Hentschel-4th place broilers. Jay Woelfel-13th place rabbits and 11th place broilers. Warda Farm Bureau to Meet 

The Warda Farm Bureau will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 16 at 610 Geise Lane. Members may bring snacks, drinks will be provided.

Couples Club at Holy Cross 

The Couples Club at Holy Cross will have their Annual BBQ Chickens on Mother’s Day, May 10. Chickens are $15, cups of sauce are $3. Pick up is at the Holy Cross picnic grounds from 10 a.m.-noon. Sign up by Monday, May 4 by calling the church office at (979) 242-3333.

Family Fun Night 

Camp Lone Star Family Fun Night will be held Tuesday, April 14 from 5:30-7 p.m. This is a free event and includes dinner, exciting camp activities, a parent vs. kids kickball contest, and a devotional. Register at camplonestar. org.

Camp Lone Star Registration 

Camp Lone Star in La Grange Summer Camp registration, for campers age 5-18 is open. The Camp will also have a work weekend May 15-17, as they prepare to welcome over 2,000 campers. Kids and adults are welcome to the work weekend, to help with some projects and enjoy a few fun camp activities. Register at www.camplonestar. org.

Wrangle in Warda 

Bluff Creek Ranch in Warda will have a NICA event “Wrangle in Warda” State Championship April 18-19. For more information go to bcrwarda.com/events.

Sewing Circle 

The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. This is around the back side of the church. No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 242-3333 if you have any questions.

Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, April 16 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

Friday, May 29 FLHS will host the Golf “Fore” Education Tournament. There will be an 8 a.m./1 p.m. shotgun start. This annual tournament benefiting Faith is perfect for every level of player. Fourman teams are $100/person, including golf cart and lunch. Many prizes will be awarded. They are also seeking gold, silver, and platinum sponsors by May 14. Contact the school for sponsorship and player registration.

Everyone is invited to join the weekly Chapel Worship Service each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
