The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is in full swing this Fall with a Turkey/Clay Shoot coming up on Saturday Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. The shoot will be held at the Swenson Ranch, so everyone is encouraged to break out that old shotgun and buy that ammo to come out and participate. It will be lots of fun and there will be great prizes involved. If you have any questions or want to participate contact Monty at (512) 575-0534. It will be a good time and there will be food there too. Make plans to come check it out.

Animal Shelter Has Over 60 Cats In Care

As of Aug. 30, the total intake for 2024 for the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is 1,126: 483 dogs and 643 cats in need. As of Aug 30, the shelter has 116 animals in care: 37 dogs/69 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.

Catholic Daughters of the Americas Hold 60th Biennial National Convention

Sixteen-hundred members of The Catholic Daughters of the Americas gathered in New Orleans from Aug. 14-17 for their 60th Biennial National Convention to elect national leaders and conduct new business. The CDAwas formed in 1903 and now one of the largest organizations of Catholic women in the Americas.
