Second Chance Donates to Auxiliary

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 102 is all smiles as members receive their first grant from Second Chance Emporium. The Auxiliary will continue their veteran support efforts like backpacks for hospitalized veterans, scholarships for veteran’s children, fundraising efforts with the Veteran’s Ball on Sept. 12, 2026, Poppy Distribution before Veteran’s Day, and the holiday visits to Assisted Living or homebound Veterans. With the grant, the Auxiliary can expand the awareness of the Unit’s activities and mission across our community to those who want to continue to support our local veterans and veteran spouses/families. All are welcome to an Auxiliary Meeting; always the second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at VFW Hall located at 500 Veterans Memorial Drive, La Grange.
