A graveside service for William Charles Barnes III, 72, of Houston was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024 at the Ledbetter Cemetery in Ledbetter. Dr. Duane Brooks, Pastor of William’s Houston home church, Tallowood, officiated.

A Celebration of life will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 in the barn at Prairie Skies, William’s home, in Ledbetter.

Known to all as Charley, William Barnes III was born Oct. 8, 1951 in Dallas to William Charles Barnes Jr. and Kathryn Elizabeth Thomas Barnes.

Charley passed away the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024 at his home in Ledbetter.

Charley is survived by his wife, Cynthia Ann Barnes of Houston; two sons, William Charles Barnes IV of Houston and Daniel Alexander Barnes and wife Stephanie Ann Barnes of Boerne; one daughter, Haley Elizabeth Lynch and husband, Thomas Joseph Lynch of Houston; five grandchildren, William Charles Barnes V of Houston, Alexander Duane Barnes and Ella Grace Barnes of Boerne, Lyra Ann Lynch and Milo Thomas Lynch of Houston.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
