Johnny George Jasek passed away on May 31, 2026, in Cistern at the age of 67. Johnny was born on April 1, 1959, in Houston to Justin Edward Jasek and Letitia (Nelson) Jasek. He was raised with the love and guidance of his family.

Johnny made his life and career in service to others.

He worked for Fayette Memorial Hospital from 1992 to 2005, then continued his career at St. Mark’s Medical Center from 2005 to 2023. In 2023, he joined the Fayette County Recycling Center, where he remained until his passing. In every place he worked, Johnny was respected for his steady presence, dependable work ethic, and the genuine care he showed to those around him. He was the kind of man people could count on, and he took pride in doing his part well.

Johnny loved riding his motorcycle with his wife, family, and friends, and those rides brought him joy and freedom. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and many other outdoor activities. More than anything else, he loved doing any and everything with his grandsons. Time spent with them was among the happiest moments of his life, and he treasured every opportunity to be present, involved, and making memories that will last forever. His greatest happiness came from being with the people he loved.

He is preceded in death by his father, Justin Edward Jasek, his mother, Letitia (Nelson) Jasek, his son, Justin Dale Jasek, his grandmother, Bernice Demoville, and his uncles, Jack Nelson and John Nelson.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Sharon (East) Jasek; his son, Joey Jasek, and wife Ashley; his grandsons, Justin and Ace Jasek; his sister, Annette Jasek, and partner Jan Guerrero; and his nephews, Joshua Jasek and wife Mc-Kenna, Aaron East and wife Lorin, Marty Fowler and wife Brooke, Robby Martin and wife Bobbie Jo, and Andrew Washington and wife Tosha. He is also survived by seven great-nephews and one greatniece, all of whom will carry forward the love and memory he shared with them.

Johnny will be remembered as a man of integrity, devotion, and kindness. He touched the lives of many through his work, and his deep love for his family. His presence brought comfort and strength to those around him, and his memory will remain a lasting source of love for all who knew him. Though he is no longer with us, the example he set through his life will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Avisitation celebrating the life of Johnny will be held at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 3-6 p.m. The family will be present at this time to receive friends.
