Farris

Farris On April 19, 2024, our beloved Dorothy Lee (Perry) Farris went home to be with the Lord at 81 years of age. She was born to Lee and Ada Perry in La Feria on May 8, 1942.

Dorothy and Ben moved to La Grange in 1990 and she worked as a Registered Nurse for many years, where she touched many lives.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Lois Black and Ruthie, her lifelong love, Ben Janse Ray Farris and two sons, Stephen Ray Farris and Marty Lee Farris.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan M. Washington (Raymond) of La Grange, son, Ben C. Farris and his children, Julia and Linken of La Grange, daughter-in-law, Bonnie Farris of Round Top; grandchildren, Ashley Farris and children, Jaxon and Jaelyn of Round Top, Victoria (Neal) Soester and children, Neal and Noah, Cassandra (Kyle) and children, Abianna, Kori and James of Bellville. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Miracle Temple COGIC, 1008 E. Fannin Street, La Grange.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tommy E. Taylor Funeral Home in La Grange.
