Winchester Area Civic Association Fall Domino Tournament Winners Announced

Data Center Meeting

A standing room-only crowd filled Zilss Hall on Tuesday evening, Oct. 5, to hear Scott Parker, Kayli and Derek Head and others bring information to the community on a proposed Data Center planned for construction 3 miles from Winchester on FM 448.

After an hour of questions and answers the participants agreed more information was needed and all county officials of Lee and Fayette County should be invited to come and explain the proposal.

Another informational meeting will be held on Nov. 2 at St. Michael’s Pavilion at 310 Frio Street in Winchester. By holding the meeting at the pavilion, the space will provide for a larger crowd.

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend as this could affect the future of our community.

Quilt Block Classes

Winchester Area Quilt Trail instructors were once again invited to teach a barn quilt block class at the International Quilt Festival held at the George R. Brown convention center in Houston. The quilt festival is held from Nov. 1015. We will be teaching a oneday class for 24 students on Nov. 12 with eight on a waiting list. The International Quilt Festival will display 1200 quilts, have over 600 vendors, and educational classes making it the largest quilt show in the United States.
