What Have Democrats Done?

To the editor:

I was going to respond to Mr. Dykes’ hilarious letter in the 9/18/26 FCR, until I realized I had already addressed most of his comments in previous letters to the editor.

It’s clear that Democrats are not critical thinkers nor do they bother to do any research on the ramblings in their letters. Mr. Dykes did, however, clearly let everyone know just how much he hates those that don’t vote or think like him. Mr. Dykes childish name calling, i.e., Trumpsters and Trumpoid, shows he lacks the ability to make his points without name calling. In addition, his “Let’s teach Trumpsters to select candidates for state and federal positions…” is a veiled threat against anyone who doesn’t think like him. I can assure Mr. Dykes there is absolutely nothing he can teach me.

After reading Mr. Dykes letter, I realized that Democrats never talk about what their party stands for or what they have done for Americans. They never say how safe Americans are with all the illegal aliens they allowed in the country.Actually they never mention the murders of American citizens whether it was by illegal aliens or the constant release of violent criminals back into society by liberal judges. Why is that?

So let’s put the shoe on the other foot and let Democrats tell us what their party stands for. How have Democrats worked with Republicans for Americans. What have Democrats done for Americans in the last ten years.

Inquiring minds would like to know Democrats’ stance on the millions of illegal aliens allowed in this country who have no legal right to be here but still get taxpayer money and services?

Examples include SNAP: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (food stamps); Standard Medicaid: Regular government health insurance for low-income individuals; TANF: Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (cash welfare); Housing Help: Public housing and Section 8 vouchers Emergency Medical Care: Hospitals must treat life-threatening health emergencies and labor and delivery through Emergency Medicaid, regardless of legal status; K-12 Education: State Health Programs: Some states use their own state funds to provide health coverage or prenatal care for low income children or pregnant residents. Community Clinics: People can visit Federally Qualified Health Centers for basic primary care and prescriptions on a sliding fee scale. Household Aid and Costs. Studies analyzed by the House Budget Committee note that while undocumented adults rarely receive direct cash or welfare in their own name, some households receive benefits because U.S.-born children living in the home qualify as citizens. The government estimates it costs U.S. taxpayers $150.7 billion dollars annually for services for illegal aliens.

How do Democrats feel about all the Americans who have been murdered by illegal aliens? Side note: I didn’t believe that Google and other search engines were biased. I stand corrected. I searched “American citizens killed by illegal immigrants.” The message I got was that information was not available. The following statements did come from one off-the-wall website. “None of the supplied sources provides an official, comprehensive national count of Americans killed by undocumented immigrants in calendar year 2025; fact-checking organizations and academic analysts instead emphasize that publicly cited claims about such totals are often incomplete or misleading. But guess what they said about illegal aliens killed, “Multiple mainstream reports and compiled trackers show that 2025 was the deadliest year in ICE custody in decades, with news organizations and public databases recording 31 to 32 deaths in detention facilities during 2025. The Guardian and other outlets explicitly reported “32 people who died in custody” in 2025. So they can’t find data showing how many Americans have been murdered by illegal aliens, but they have a plethora of data and sources on how many illegal aliens died in ICE custody. These statements came from the same website, unbelievably called “factually.” One literally cannot make this stuff up.

How do Democrats feel about the onslaught of socialist/ communists running for public office and, in some cases, winning. Mr. Balch doesn’t need to answer this question as his stance on socialism is well documented. But let’s hear from the other Democrats. We have two socialist run cities; New York City and Seattle that Democrats can talk about.

What do Democrats think about Islam and Muslims moving into the United States? And being elected to public office? Interestingly, there was a news story about this subject dated Sept. 18, 2026. The article was about the Muslim mayor of Dearborn, Michigan, who spent thousands of taxpayer dollars on displays celebrating Muslim holidays. When a Christian pastor repeatedly requested the same recognition for Easter and Passover, the Mayor called him a bigot and an Islamophobe. In addition, the Mayor said, “And although you live here, I want you to know as mayor, you are not welcome here,” Hammoud told the Christian pastor. “And the day you move out of the city will be the day that I launch a parade celebrating the fact that you moved out of the city because you are not somebody who believes in coexistence.” Again, can’t make this stuff up.

So all you Democrats out there, who have so much to say about President Trump, tell us what your party has done/is doing for American citizens.
