Cubettes Win District Title

The Round Top-Carmine volleyball team clinched their district title with a five set victory at Fayetteville Monday. The Cubettes dropped the first two sets 17-25, and 2225 before roaring back to win the final three sets 25-21, 2516 and 15-10.
The 2025 Round Top-Carmine volleyball team defeated Fayetteville Monday to win the district title. The Cubettes now have a first round playoff bye.

Bucek Honorary Captain for Horns

Shorthorn legend Bill Bucek served as an honorary captain at the homecoming game Friday night. Bucek, a Texas High School Football Hall of Famer, was the fi rst four-year letterman for the Shorthorns and went on to play for Rice University and later signed with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League. He was accompanied on the fi eld Friday night by his grandchil dren Draden and Brennan Chudej.

Schulenburg Bashes Bloomington 41-0

Last week in practice, Schulenburg Head Coach Clay Ferguson told his team he wanted a shutout. The Horns delivered Friday with a 41-0 win against Bloomington on Schulenburg’s homecoming night.
