The La Grange volleyball team pulled off a thrilling victory over Giddings Tuesday as the Lady Leps staged comebacks in all three sets they won. No comeback was more dramatic than when La Grange trailed Giddings 2412 and rallied to win 27-25 after Kyla Colon served 12 straight points.

Bellville ran for 562 yards and scored on all nine of their possessions as the Brahmas beat La Grange 63-20 Friday night. The loss drops the Leps’ record to 4-3 overall and 0-2 in district as La Grange prepares to host Caldwell this week for homecoming.

In a match for control of the 28-1A district volleyball standings, Round Top-Carmine defeated Fayetteville Friday 25-14, 25-18, 25-13. Round Top-Carmine improved to 20-18 overall and 3-0 in district with the win.

The La Grange High School Swim Team kicked off their 2024 season in spectacular fashion, dominating their first meet with an impressive score of 160, besting Brenham and Columbus. The team achieved a remarkable nine first-place finishes, recorded 11 personal bests, and shattered three school records in their season debut.

The La Grange High School Band earned a Division 1 rating (top honors) at the UIL Region Marching Contest Saturday in Giddings with their marching show “Sonoran Sketches.” The Band now advance to the Area Competition in two weeks.

The Schulenburg volleyball team lost its match Tuesday at Shiner in five sets, 26-24, 18-25, 16-25, 25-23, 12-15. Landry Zapalac had 41 assists, four aces and 15 digs.
