A local family has spent a long, hot summer renovating a house they plan to move into by spring break of 2024. Justice of the Peace Jamie Moreau has not only been learning her new role for Precinct 2, she’s also been renovating an 1800’s farmhouse that sat in Ellinger across Hwy. 71 from Hruska’s. And renovations aren’t all the Moreau family has been doing. They’ve been filming the project that will air on the show “First Time Fixer” in Season 5.
Trophies were presented to the county-wide fire poster winners Wednesday at the La Grange firehouse. The top three winners in each division advance to the Guadalupe Division contest. This year’s poster theme was “Cooking Safety Starts with You.”
