At the regular monthly meeting of the H. J. Ehler American Legion Post 102, La Grange on 13 March 2024, the Post and its Auxiliary Unit enjoyed a presentation by Josh Vandever, Fayette County EMS Director, after which the members enjoyed delicious home-made stew cooked by J. R. and Mary Baca. All then enjoyed the anniversary cake provided by the Auxiliary celebrating the 105th birthday of the American Legion. Pictured are, left to right, Norman T. The 29th Annual Herbal Forum and Plant Sale at Festival Hill will be March 15-16. This year’s theme is “Cultivating, Creating and Cooking with Herbs.” The plant sale is Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday’s events includes talks on Yarrow, the Herb of the Year, dyeing with plants, and on pathways for connecting nature with homegrown wellness.
