Local LWR Donations Lost in Beirut Explosion
Martin Luther Lutheran Church received word via a phone message on Aug. 21 that some of the Lutheran World Relief items destroyed in the Beirut, Lebanon port explosion were donated by their congregation.
Three 40-foot shipping containers with LWR items were lost. The total loss included 22,000 quilts, 100 cartons of school kits, 300 cartons of personal care kits and 125 cartons of baby care kits…
