La Grange’s Emma Coltrain Wins KayCan ‘Live Like Kayla’ Scholarship

  • A fundraiser celebrated what would have been Kayla’s 22nd birthday. The fundraiser included a volleyball tournament. Emma gathered up and entered a team. They chose the team name “The Disciples” which was a beautiful characteristic of Kayla Cannon. The Disciples won the tournament which helped raise funds to award many scholarships.

La Grange High School senior Emma Coltrain has been selected as a recepient of a Kay-Can “Live Like Kayla” scholarship, which was established in the memory of the late Tomball High School and University of Texas student Kayla Cannon, a determined, competitive, Jesusloving beautiful soul. She set her goals high and exceeded them. Her license plate was pink and said it all - KAYCAN, for KAYla…
