It’s Stock Show Season in Fayette Co.

On the heels of the Flatonia Junior Livestock Show two weeks ago, The Schulenburg Junior Livestock Show took place at the Schulenburg Expo Center from Jan. 19 to 21 last week.

LG Uncorked Fest Returns Feb. 11

Going into its 10th year, La Grange Uncorked wine tasting event will return this year on Saturday Feb. 11. from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. downtown. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the Casino Hall or online through eventbrite.com. There is a limit of 400 tickets.

The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will host a chicken noodle soup lunch and bake sale Sunday, Jan. 29 beginning at 10:30 a.m. This event is drivethru only. The new drive-thru route will be under the BBQ pavilion. Watch for signs. Cost is $10 per quart or $35 per gallon. Bring a pot or glass container. Homemade chicken salad sandwhiches and delicious desserts will be available. Drive-thru line Polka music entertainment provided by Zach Novak. Kozelsky on Iowa State Dean’s List

Analyn Kozelsky from Flatonia made the Dean’s List at Iowa State Univerity. More than 10,200 Iowa State University students have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the fall semester 2022 Dean’s List.

Foggy Morning Causes Havoc
